When I went through class a couple years ago the 190 went senior. I was the last to get it and was a bit relieved that one guy senior to me changed his mind just before submitting the bid.

The reason at the time was twofold, first those of us bidding it wanted Boston out of the gate. Second, at the time, it was the shortest time spent on reserve. The bus obviously pays more and some would say it has better trips so some go that way. And I believe right now it is shorter for reserve but I am not certain.

How Sr or Jr BOS is? I wouldn't mind JFK or BOS, but since I've never flow in BOS it should be a nice to go somewhere different.

If you were awarded JFK 320 on Day 1 then it would only be 6-8months before you were flying trips out if BOS. It isn't much more senior, it is just a matter of waiting for the next System Bid so you can transfer bases. System bids open the 1st week of March, June, September, December.

Bos and jfk on the 190 are relatively the same seniority. If you happen to get one out of class and want the other you should be able to bid it on the next quarter system bid.

To make matters worse, a lot of offices won't do the proper follow up or the insurance's system won't be updated properly, and you wind up getting charged the full amount rather than 20% (or zero if you're over the limit) because they see the word "deductible" on your card. At best you might get a refund check in the mail a few months down the road. Most places will just toss a credit on your account and hope you never come back in for anything. I'm still in a fight for overpaid funds to a doctor's office from last year even after sending in multiple explanations of benefits being sent in, etc, etc.

Oh, and if you've already hit all that and still need to go to the emergency room, it's still $300 since it doesn't count towards the deductible or the max co-insurance. It's a separate deal altogether. So, if you're bleeding out at 1 am, try to keep it patched up until you can go see your primary doctor or one of the critical care places opens up at 8 am.

PayFlex (the people that administer the FSA/seed/healthy rewards accounts) are on my last nerve. They turned off my card twice and keep asking for "proof" that the charges from places with "medical," "hospital" and "cancer center" in their names are legit.

I defended this insurance for a little bit in the beginning, but the more I use it, the worse I see it is. It's pretty bad when I think back on the heath insurance I had at my regional and actually MISS it.....

Sorry to hear about your family's medical troubles. I hope everyone is doing better. We use my wife's insurance instead of jb's. She works for another company with high nps scores that takes good care of their employees. Unfortunately it's a similar type of plan with Humana. The deductible is higher but they give you more seed money so it balances out. We've had the same experiences in frustration with the hsa card and incorrect billing. Constantly turning off the card for using it when supposedly it's our money. Just like you said they want proof a place with medical in the name is a medical expense. But you could buy soda and makeup at cvs and I'm sure they wouldn't blink, just assume it's pills. Insurance companies make money by being hard to deal with so you will give up. A typical regular doctor office has one person for every doctor whose full time job is fighting with the insurance companies to get what they are supposed to be paid. Crooks, all of them. Anyway, keep your chin up. I hope the cba has great coverage for us. I wouldn't care if the monthly cost was high if it meant real coverage, no nonsense, and good customer service.

Can NH pilots are able to bid while in training? According to recruiting if everything goes as planned June interviewees will start at fall.

Another question, does jetblue pilots in JFK cover also LGA? How's the logistic in that? 2 hr call outs for either way? How's the best way to be in range of both places (crashpad)?

NHs in training do get to participate in the system bids.

2:30 for LGA callouts and there is parking available, although I'm not too sure where specifically it is. Most crash pads are in the Kew Gardens area and that puts you right between JFK and LGA. Jetblue runs a shuttle bus from Kew to JFK, and there are several cab companies that will take you to LGA from Kew. Q-runner, Kew cab, etc and they aren't that expensive.
