Keep in mind, that if assigned a LGA trip, you can expense the cab/uber to/from lga.

No. Read FSM B.6.2
Especially the last paragraph
and don't forget B.6.4 RSV Callout

Default Upcoming Interview

Y'all,

I have an upcoming interview with jetBlue. I have read Blue Streak and looking at the pros and cons of each airline. It seems jetBlue is a great fit for me.
My question is, how hard is it to make extra money in the first couple of years? is the 75 hours pretty accurate? I greatly appreciate any information.

I can tell you about the first year. Hired in Nov. Completed IOE in January. Broke 100 hrs (including the 25 hrs IOE this week). Take $51 times 75 and that's your monthly gross. Apply your tax rate and deductions accordingly. Cold, wet, and sandy. No easy day. In my case the entire first check goes to the mortgage... Well that's because it includes the per diem (without the PD I'd come up short!).

It is what it is. I've learned to embrace the misery as normal. Just smile and nod when your captain talks about importing his sports car from Italy or his house in Aspen then asks to borrow a buck for the van driver. Act like you forgot when he inquires why you didn't come down to enjoy $8 Amstel light drafts at the hotel...

I'm being snarky of course but it's not the greatest the first year. Wife is counting the days until the first year anniversary.

Not exactly accurate. On RSV yes you will not break guarantee. But once off reserve it's very very easy to make extra money. You can credit over 100 hours if you want too. Recently the 320 reserve time is about 6-8 months depending on your base. The 190 is about 10-12 months.

First year pay is what it is. If you get off reserve prior to your 1 year mark then you can deff make extra money.

I just talked to my boy who has only been there a year. He said once he began holding a line (which he said was only 6 Mo in BOS 320) his check has been over 100 hours credit consistently. And he's about to collect a $6k check for passing go.
