PA is in driving distance and has firearms laws arguably much more in line with the 2A than TX.
NH is a bit further (but close to BOS), and is even better.
VT is a true 2A state, and the only one in the nation which has been such since before the Bill of Rights was ratified.

Very true. And once you fight here you're always "Texan." Wasn't born here but got here as quick as he could! Uncle is a genealogist- we've got kin that ran with him.
Even has a city named for him:

We're friendly that way here. Come on down and bring your long guns to Wal-mart like the rest of us (that was in jest, I don't support that actually).

As mentioned above, Crockett was from TN.

I was beating on NY with the onerous laws but I neglected to consider NH and BOS.
It's my understanding that a concealed permit in PA is subject to the okay/whim of the local Sheriff/chief of police, who has 45 days to conduct an "investigation." True?

But I just hate that powdery white stuff. Snow, I mean. We've got our own problems with the other kind coming across the Rio Grande. But VT has Ben and Jerry's so at least there's that. I did request FLL which is an easier commute but was not awarded it in this last bid. Tx also has pretty lax tax policies - including buying and selling aircraft- so there's some salient reasons for remaining.

On taxes, NH has no sales or income tax. Property taxes can be steep in some places.
But yeah, the snow has been crazy this year. 9'+ in BOS. Up where I live in NH we got 7'+, and I've managed to be on the wrong side of the snow storm for most of my commutes.
