Will that be from this last application window?

My app is complete and submitted - any indication that the window has "closed" yet?

Why are crew members not allowed to clear customs and then return to the gate area? Bye Bye commute aircraft.
The reality is, for new hires, you need to be within a two hour commute of a domicile.

Huh? Are you talking about the 2 hour call out for reserve? That's why crash pads exist. We have guys that commute coast to coast and other countries. I've heard of guys commuting from Europe.

I honestly think they have only been calling guys outside of a 2 hour commute to a domicile - at least it seems that way with everyone I have flown with.

Frustrating for a local guy.

I was talking about the commute home. I guess I should have stated,"you flew the plane in from the DR." So it wouldn't matter if your commute was 3 minutes away: not being able to clear customs and end up back inside security is absurd.

Not a chance in hell if it's JFK. As one famous Texan said,"...I'll go to Texas." (And y'all may go elsewhere). I believe any state within 2 hrs of JFK would likely disarm me at the border.
