Nope and nope

RSA would be the easiest way to make up lost time, but it is only issued once in a while when the company needs it. Can't do RSA on a UTO day.

As Beechnut said above, save your PTO if possible. You accrue 9hrs/mo up to year 5, and once you have more than 100hrs saved up you can sell back PTO at 1.5x normal pay. You can have a max of 2 years worth of PTO saved at a time, after that you start losing it so better cash it out or use it.

Usually all the answers are on the FSM. But this one I haven't seen.

But you should be able to pick up in open time for days off. Isn't it?

Kinda, sort of.

You can request trips through the RSV east coast opentime window, and if they don't have anyone else legal for the trip they might give it to you and you'll get 1.5x for the flying done on your days off. I've been on reserve several years and never ran into anyone who has successfully done this.

If you request opentime through the regular 'opentime pot' then you'll get assigned the trip, but it will only go towards your 75hr guarantee, NOT above guarantee. I highly discourage this unless you have already credited 75hrs for the month.

Don't know Flyby. That is not what the FSM says. Ref G.20.2

G.20.2 Reserve Day Off Flying Assigned via Aggressive Pick-Up.

Aggressive Pick-up is the RSV opentime window, like I explained earlier. But section G doesn't define it.

Check D.7.1 for the definition of aggressive pickup, which determines pay for the G.20.2 section

Pretty much.

RSA is the way to go for extra cash on reserve. We usually get emails a few times per month looking for extra reserve staffing.

Are you comparing the B6 pilots to rats and dogs behavior?
Just a joke about motivation- I should not have left it dangling BlueBood: the three most powerful motivators in the animal lab- food, sex, and alcohol! Useless Trivia- with rats the number one is chocolate, which they prefer over cocaine and sex (I had 60 rats undergoing drug addiction studies). Although there's a study that was conducted that revealed that when faced with releasing a trapped buddy or getting the chocolate, they release their buddy first. Told you it was useless trivia. Just meant behavior is predictable. I said it in a confusing way.

But It specifically says "shall be paid above guarantee". Now I am puzzled.
