Actually that's not all correct. If you pick up a trip,on your day off, through reserve open time it pays time +half and jr man, that's if that trip is awarded to you. But it has to be through reserved open time. It also goes on top of guarantee

There are a LOT of 'ifs' with that statement. I wouldn't count on getting many of those requests approved.

first of all, congratulations to everyone getting called for classes! that is exciting to see...the pool is shrinking and moving quickly.
also, thank you to those posting upcoming class dates. that is very motivational.
the interviewing went off without a hitch yesterday. I was in the first group of the morning. someone (not a jetblue employee) said that they heard there were 60 people interviewing yesterday and no more interviews until late march. I cannot confirm any of that.
I have to say that most of my interview prep work that was actually beneficial to me came from reading this thread. I also looked elsewhere on the internet and talked to a couple of jetblue pilots, but didn't get much specific from them. but this thread is great...you just have to find it. I really do not have anything to add about questions, except to say that they did allow me to use examples from my previous careers, not just flying situations, and I never was really asked about the core values. I brought up the core values myself several times, and then I was finally asked what my favorite one was.
everyone that I met was amazing, and the whole interview process was incredible. I told them afterwards that I feel like many companies (not just airlines) could learn a lot from their interview process. I have never felt more comfortable and at ease in an interview situation. it really all felt more like a "conversation" than an "interview". I think this is due to their culture and also to them picking the right people to do the interviewing. it takes a certain personality to be able to put a diverse group of people at ease immediately.
they said late spring to early summer for class dates...at least that is what they said to me. people interviewing later in the day might have heard something different.
FLL base is growing and will continue to grow. they want to grow LGB but it is up to the city and the airport to approve international flying (there is no customs unit there). lots of movement in both aircraft right now.
they said maybe Monday, maybe even Friday, to hear about moving onto phase 2, so I will let you know. oh, there were 6 of us in the first group, 1 military, 1 charter, and 4 regionals. all quite experienced (no 2000 hour first officers). I can't say much about the rest of the people for the day...I think I met another couple regional guys and another charter guy and another military guy.
I also don't think I've ever been as excited about the opportunity to work somewhere. I really just feel like I "fit" at jetblue. I guess I will soon see if they feel the same way!
thanks again to everyone posting information here. it really helps us all out, and I hope to continue that tradition.

Are you confusing a VDA with an aggressive pick up? I don't think you get 190% for aggressive pick up on your day off, just above guarantee.
