No kidding. I thought I was on the "fast track" back in 2010. Put my app in, got a call for the invite to the open house down in MCO, was told everyone invited to the open house would be interviewed, and I finally got a call for the interview about 17 months later. Maybe I rubbed someone the wrong way at the open house.

All of the jetBlue threads without exception are extremely negative. If these boards are indicative of what it's like on the line, moral is a real problem.
So I have to ask.
If the choice is simply, jetBlue or stay put, Would you recommend that someone come to work for jetBlue right now? Or stay away?

I think Zap, you've got a minority of negative guys that do a lot of posting on here. Talking to buddies I have at JB, they love it.
There's going to be issues at every job, let alone air carrier, but my limited experience says most JetBlue pilots are happy for the most part.
When they call you for a class date, and I'd bet you'll hear something soon, I say go for it! Jump in with both feet, I'm sure you'll be happy, just like my buddies are.
Just my .02!

It's pretty hard to get excited about that phone call given everything I've read. On the contrary, kind of dreading it. Seems like I'd be going from one company with extremely poor moral and a toxic management / employee relationship to another -- but add in a massive pay cut and a challenging commute. My gut is telling me this is a mistake. That's not how someone should feel before they make a life changing decision that will impact the whole family.

I know a handful of pilots there--senior to recently hired. They are all pretty straight forward about the issues discussed here but still say they enjoy the flying and crews they work with on a daily basis. All of them are military so not sure if that skews their opinions to one side of the spectrum.

I honestly don't know which airline you'd be happy with? They all have drawbacks, and if they don't right now, wait a few years and they'll go through their cycle. And they all go through the cycle!
