One pilot from the Feb 25th morning group that I know of. The rest of us are wondering how that happened so fast. Otherwise the Feb 25 group is still holding. We had a significant amount of military. A couple have taken interim jobs with a regional with the intent of leaving if the call comes (probably just out of training). I had the same opportunity (class the first week of March) and given the delays am kicking myself for not doing it. I didn't think it would take this long.
I know the paperwork has cleared Sterling and I have a strong advocate within. My gut vibe is May-June-July. My previous employer of 6yrs suggested I "move along now" once the PRIA requests starting coming so I'm floating the household via savings. Plus, as mentioned in the phase II emails, "it's still not guaranteed." The worst thing for me would be continue to wait and never get the call from the bullpen. I hadn't planned on it initially, but I just fired up apps other places.

They can't communicate what class you'll be in because:
1. The class sizes vary more than you think.
2. People defer, or even refuse to accept a class frequently.
3. It frankly isn't, and shouldn't be, a priority as long as they are running classes.
I was in the "pool" for 13 months. I interviewed in November, and they started communicating with us in March when it was clear that we wouldn't be in class that Spring, Summer, or Fall.
So what kind of communication are you expecting?

Phase 2 is not a gimme. I know guys that were completely honest and still got the fedex letter while in phase 2 because the PHC decided they weren't Jetblue material. Not a great way to treat people.

I expect them to communicate that you definitively have the job after they interview you. Not put you into this phase 2 limbo. Every other airline that I know of (this is my fifth) gives you that.

No place is perfect. The interview here is simple. Be yourself, and relax. You get selected or you don't. Other airlines run you through a ringer. Cognitive tests, psych tests, and panels. It's stressful and exhausting. I prefer our method.

Meh. It is what it is. You're not entitled to a job. If you don't like the process, apply somewhere else.

Entitlement. Buzz word of the 2010's. I already have the job. I critiqued the hiring process. Where in there did I say I or anyone else was entitled to a job?

The reason Delta can offer an immediate decision is they get a better look at the candidate up front (by running you through a mental obstacle course, etc.). JetBlue digs through the past to make their determination, but I'm okay with that because it's transparent to the applicant. You just wait to hear, and 99% that get to phase 2 get a class. (I don't know the actual numbers, but it's high.)
I guess I find it really obtuse to complain about what seemed to be the simplest and lowest stress interview possible.

You can critique all you like. I just found the process to be unbelievably smooth and easy, even with 13 months swimming in the pool. I can't imagine it being any better, actually.

The interview is great I have no problem with it. I don't like the limbo of phase 2 especially when they're sending out PRIA requests to companies that may not know you're looking for other employment and you then lose that job. Case in point std deviation.
Southerner you're the same guy who would come on The Pipe and argue in circles aren't you. I'm done with it.

Thanks for the reply. I am a bit concerned since the first email stated that they will be contacting me for the interview date and later the second email is saying that I will get the phone call. I guess it's good news either way since I am still in the running One of my friends got the questionnaire and an interview date few days later, no phone call at all. I really want the job and it's hard not to question every detail
