As to its effectiveness nowadays, I think it just ensures they miss out on more candidates.
For years stubborn HR used to brag about how selective they are, post pandemic ho ho ho they quickly found out they werent sellling the best product. Sobering for them.

If in fact there will be no hiring for a while.......well take that as diagnostic of a blessing in disguise.

Interesting,thank you for the aswer.

I'm looking now and just seeing the Family Gateaway Program, which in it it specifically says that it can be sponsored by a direct family member or a Active JetBlue crewmember to get the First Officer Position.
I have a nice friend that told me if needed he will be my sponsor since he is flying there but I don't really know how this sponsorship differ for a normal First Officer position or how it works to be "sponsored".Waiting for a recruiter response anyways so lets see.

Did you ever have/or do you currently hold a FAA pilot certificate?

ah yes, well certainly no need to do the ab initio pay to play scheme.

There are many different opportunities current pilots have to refer others, but NONE are a Guaranteed successful outcome.
Don't know what your TT is at, but I have seen people get hired at legacies with less......so you are in good shape.
Id just say to keep flying, keep it in the blue and out of the brown.....and check back often to see if the application window is open.

Does anyone know the min turbine time to be considered competitive? I only have about 600 fixed wing turbine time which are solely from military and 121. I’m just a low time guy. I recently received an addendum form to fill out. Worth a shot?

I am an A320 Captain with more than 5000 hours on Airbus A330 & 320. I think they stopped hiring.
Yup +1
7000+ hours total, A320 rated with 4000hrs on type - rejected within 24hrs.
Not sure whats going on. Maybe the application was screwed up. Is it worthwhile reapplying with a different Email address?

EDIT: I see the FO opening is gone. I guess thats the reason why it was rejected.

Are you current?

I would caution you against submitting multiple applications to get around the logic of the software. Instead go thru the application slowly again to make sure you filled everything out appropriately.

God...I know I don't have to say this ..........but:

If you are not a US citizen, Resident Alien, or Citizen of the Commonwealth of Australia........you are not eligible to work as an airman in the United States, no matter how much Turbine PIC you have.

I've told several guys to do this and 2 of them had success in getting hired. If your app is in tip top shape and you still get a rejection email, I encourage guys to apply with another email.

The addendum is a great sign. It means youre likely qualified, but they want to know more about why you have lower flight time, or don't meet the recency requirements. It's sent by a human, and is just an invutation to look more specifically into your qualifications.
