Default Background check

Hey folks, has anyone run into background check issues? I worked for a few small companies for a short amount of time and it's nearly impossible to verify employment. Hireright already came back asking for verification on one. Employment dates may be off by up to a 2-3 months since I job hopped a lot when I was young and moving around a ton.

Do I have good odds for the 320 at 30 years old with these classes of 25-30?

also, am I foolish for coming into JetBlue with the intent of staying to see long term or at least to see What comes of the merger (acquisition) of spirit? For those that have been here at JetBlue, would you have your apps out at United knowing what you know now?

I think you’d have a good shot at the 320 being 30yrs old.

As to career advice nobody knows, but this is the JB board and we have mostly chosen to stay here longer term for one reason or another. I think the future is bright here, but we’ll be praying for growth vs legacies where you’re praying for retirements.

is there a certain area you’d like to live long term? If you’re a northeast/Florida guy the I’d go for JB. If you’re a Midwest/west coast I’d go UA.

When do you have to submit your vaccine card for new hires? First day of training? Will they ask for it prior? I cant find any clarification in any of my emails about it.

Get your apps out.

As you gain longevity and seniority here it begins to rapidly slow, then stop. You will always be underpaid here. You will never get profit sharing which has been $50,000 a year at some carriers (not here). You will be paying for every crew meal. Sometimes you will be flying hungry. You will top out as narrobody capt, vs that being a mid career position elsewhere.

Do not get comfy here. There is a reason everyone at the bottom of the list is leaving.

I even witnessed a dog pee in the entryway to Bubbles on floor 3 while a kid rode on its back. They were incredibly accommodating. Training resumed within a few days, and they had the flooded parking lot cleared within 4. The smoke shack, much like the JB hangar, didn’t fare as well…

I started in May, and my class had no training delays for 190, 220, or 320. The first pilots were completely done with training by 6 weeks after their start date; the last ones were done in 8 weeks.

-Is there a vest period for the 401k or are you vested right away?

-Is it possible for new hires to get BOS? I’d be a commuter out of CLE or CMH, and CLE-BOS has the most flights on JB metal. JFK is also possible, but all the flights are offline carriers

-With all the hiring going on (it also seems just as many are leaving), what do reserve times at BOS and JFK look like on the 190 and 320?

-I live in base at a regional that does majority of its flying in the northeast and our new TA just dropped. I also should be eligible for upgrade by spring and trying to decide if a commute is worth it. Married with 3 kids so my home time is important to me.
