Really? That would not be a positive thing?

I had like three Jetblue pilots write me a letter, a Delta pilot and I believe one from United….it’s been a few years so my memory is fuzzy. I mean I wouldn’t have a half dozen from Delta and none from Jetblue.

Default Simple and straightforward Question.

Hello Folks,

Is Jetblue hiring off the street?.. I have applied in the past (11,000 hours, 2100 Turbine, Retired Fed 56 years old). I am unable to find any announcements at Jetblue careers, other the the Sim instructor position.

I have an app on file but no job announcement to attach it to.. So, is JetBlue Hiring?, if so where is the job announcement.

Thank you,

Window is not open yet. Heard something about the end of this year.

Does anyone know about the assessments at JFK?
what it is? Any way to prepare? Apparently you have to do a flight simulator (I think it’s not the real sim just a desktop version)

might get them to make huds optional finally. How many people actually used the huds all the time anyways?

They’re reinstalling them now. We actually tried to buy those sims back. They wouldn’t sell, but they are now reinstalling the hud’s. We’re gonna start TDY’ing out there. That was straight from the chief while I was down there.

I just heard breeze is gonna start using CAE in Dallas as well (instead of their current setup with flight safety). And I think breeze has HUDs as well.

Friendly and as relaxed as an interview could be.
Paperwork submission, with logbooks as well. Please don’t bring lots of those little spiral bound flight crew log booklets. HR collecting them with your paperwork won’t say anything, but I observed a candidate get chided for having a lot of those. Wasn’t mean, but it was noticed and definitely not a plus on the day.

Separate HR and Pilot interviews are conducted in a one on one situation. All pretty much TMAT (conflict, quick decision, etc.)

A fair amount of waiting time, so chat up your fellow interviewees. Plenty of mgmt people are there to participate, and they will engage part of the group as well, so pay attention to names (especially if you are bad with names like me)

They might ask about any failures you have had, even if you cover it on an addendum sheet with your paperwork. I am sure all are aware, but show a little humility and own the failure. Everyone has an off day.

I believe 2hrs was expected. It was a lot closer to 4hrs, but the time went quickly.
