December 190 hires are holding lines by April.

Right now, I believe there are no slots left for the A320 until the next system bid comes out, but if I were getting hired today, I would most definitely pick the 190 for QOL and pay, because you’ll make more money 1st year on the 190 and have more days off. QOL is on the 190 for sure.

New hires read this slowly and pay attention.

What's the odds of a new hire about to interview getting a 320 BOS or FLL base? New hire is 49.

I don’t know how long it currently takes to go from interview to class right now but if it’s quick then there is zero chance for BOS, and a very small chance of FLL. There were 13 spots left over in FLL but it’s up to training how those get allocated in new hire classes.

If it takes a few months to get a class date those numbers will be different because there should be a another system bid in 3 months.

0% BOS 320. All vacancies filled. Perhaps in 3 months there will be more in the next bid for Sep-Dec classes.

13/240ish remaining vacancies are for FLL 320. Not sure how that converts to an interviewing newhire’s slots. Guessing those FLL slots will be gone by the time you would get a class date. But I have no idea. Perhaps there will be more on the next bid as well.

While this was certainly the case last year, don’t you see it balancing out in 2019 as we start putting new hires on the 320 again? The majority of 190 guys have moved to the 320 who want to go, and now the new hires will push up from the bottom again. I don’t see being on RSV on the 320 in JFK being over a year as it is now.

if you want Boston, go to the 190. Better movement and much better flying out of Boston. As hyper pointed out, first year pay is the same.

IMHO. The lack of CA openings created vacancies (which will change for some reasons, growth, vacations, April 10th ) mainly the 320 across the board is what is preventing that second 190 new hire slot. You also have plenty of senior 190's -320 that want to go and have wanted to go but also don't want to go to training in the summer? which is where they have vacation. You will not ascend in the 190 like you would the 320 and you will never move down in the 190 like you can and usually do in 320?

Yep I wouldn’t touch Airbus in Boston unless you’ve been here for several years. On the 190 I was around 50% in BOS a couple months ago and should be around 25% by the end of the summer. Airbus I would keep moving backwards and I’m pretty sure I’d also make less money or close to even.

If i was a betting man our numbers for hiring will be closer to 500 than 400, this year. More than 2014.

I’ve heard the same, from what I would consider to be reliable sources.

Now that they are able to put 100 new hires through airbus training, OSC might actually be able to hit that number.
