Training pay is still low so 6-8 weeks at $2k/month, so call it $4k+ 10x75x$88 = $66k. So $70k plus 15% DC into 401k, plus per diem, plus $13/hr night override and some intl override, and maybe some holiday or premium. So including all that probably $85k. Oh almost forgot profit sharing. Might add $0.15 total in a good year. So maybe $85,000.15.

Good point, I forgot to factor in training pay. 2nd year 190, which was $1 below current first year rates, I made $100k without selling back PTO, without flying much over guarantee, and calling out unpaid a couple times. Granted that counts profit sharing, holiday pay, and a little bit of JRA and night override.

My revised guess would be about $87k.

Thanks, y’all.
That training pay is rough. Otherwise reasonable.

Yeah I was around 115K my 2nd year on the 190 with the old rates....which is now the new first year rate pretty much. Like anything living in base lets you do that. I don't really consider the 401K DC as income...although it's nice to have.

Lodging, uniforms, and $26/day (use or lose) for food in lodge bucks all included...not great, not bad considering you aren’t paying for much. Obviously with a mortgage and family it’s not ideal, but compared to other airlines it’s comparable. Just depends how you break the numbers down. I think at delta you get 4/4.5k but have to pay for lodging and uniforms. Not sure about per diem. And we are off training pay as soon as we take our checkride...not through IOE.

Keep in mind you are applying to work for a marketing firm that flies airplanes. Sprinkle in some culture crap and the last thing Jetblue cares about is whether you can ACTUALLY fly an airplane.

Some knucklehead captain was publicly commended today for playing music over the PA. This is the chit we have to put up with.
