Which aircraft and domicile are new hires getting out of training? Also, what's the current upgrade time on the A320 and E190? Thanks!

Current state of new contract good luck guessing. The new bid comes out soon and that will be a little telling. I see a lot of people waiting so probably won’t know for a year or so.

New hires go NY or Boston… as I understand, there might be occasionally a Long Beach or something but those are outliers. Aircraft…a mix of both, really no way to tell (my class was mostly Airbus…next class was the opposite). Upgrades now around 4yrs for 190 and I want to say about 6 (??) for the Bus.

Like the previous poster said with the new contract & A220s coming, it’s hard to know how things will change. Except for NY and Boston being the junior bases, I would think that stays the same.

I'm guessing most new-hires will be on the 190 for the next year or so...BOS and JFK. The 190 is currently more shortstaffed than the Airbus.(BOS-320 system bid was -10 for FOs) Also the two-year equipment lock is now one year I believe. Should mean more vacancies on the 190 for new-hires I would think.

After the next few classes I bet there isn’t another new hire on the bus for a little while.

I just submitted the video interview the morning of 9/4. Haven’t heard anything one way or the other yet. Hoping no news is good news...

Default Question

Under the new contract, will pilots be able to ride in Mint now or still no? Or will you have to pay? Most majors allow employees to ride in the premium classes but not JetBlue? That would be a factor in deciding whether or not I’d accept a position given a CJO.
