jetBlue Hiring
Right and not doing 35 min turns with a crew and plane swap.
We can't keep going like we are.
But yeah that email stinks for a new guy and was a slap in the face about the RSAs. That email made it clear that picking up an RSA helps us hire and upgrade less pilots. There is no valid excuse to pick up an RSA and the company just put it in black and white.

It's a game....a game that many of us have played before. Everything that both sides do until the CBA is a game called negotiations. We must stay focused out of the weeds which much of this is....IMHO...WE must do our job and let the game be played. Our volunteers are working very hard on our behalf.

It has been atrocious lately. My commute is about 5 JetBlue flights each way as a S4W. I'm starting to rely more on American now, even though I'm last on the standby list. I'll give up the blue chips, blue gloves and Fly-Fi for a decent chance of not getting home 2-5 hours late on a regular basis.

From the latest ALPA email.
"We are on average a younger pilot group, with about 15 years before one-third of our current seniority list reaches the mandatory retirement age of 65. After that, our curve steepens—18 years from now, 50% of our current group will reach the mandatory retirement age."
Just the reality for potential new hires. No growth and no retirements.

So from that perspective we're about 3 years behind Delta in retirements? They have a lot more but percentage wise, sounds similar.
Still rather be 50% up Delta's list than ours but seems interesting.
