The majority of "negative" posts here reflect the true and actual attitudes and views of 80% of the guys I fly with and interact with out on the line (of a wide range of seniorities, I'll add). I take it you have a different experience?

I don't sweat the small stuff, blue gloves (never needed them), boarding without me (fine..I'm not an usher), keeping planes powered (if I can I will...won't miss my ride home doing it though).
The big stuff I'm optimistic is being addressed in our contract which continues moving forward.

Most of the guys I come across aren't as polarized.

I'm also optimistic the "big stuff" will be addressed in our CBA. However, it's the "small stuff" that can't be fixed by a CBA and is the stuff that can make it so painful to work here at times. The gloves for example. I've never needed the gloves either, but our cynical management uses that as a wedge between work groups and you'll have to deal with that on a day to day basis. It's all the little things (PCI, "free" overcoat for $100 out of your uniform allowance, insulting insurance and PS "enhancements," the list goes on...) that they use to chip away at us. It's depressing. These are the things you can't find on an APC airline profile. Sorry you find it polarizing.

Example: ATRDriver has been here not even a year and he has quoted that "80 percent" feel along the lines as he does. Most of that first year has been training and reserve so what really is that "80 percent"? Not much really at all...Like 5 Captains....
Another Example: Bozo has been here for years.....has more perspective. Experience. He has seen things go away like Medical benefits, profit sharing (hopefully taken care of in CBA)and premium pay if you liked to fly your butt off back in the day which I did not.
It is easy to drop a grenade on this forum and be a bad ass. Its harder to be part of the solution and volunteer and help the cause. This forum will do nothing for our wallets or our CBA.....Nor will speculation.
PM's can get some more honest perspective and plenty have great advice to give without thumping their chests and launching grenades.
