"... Space will be limited and pilots must have an active application on file. Registration will open May 5 on the ALPA Fee-for-Departure Committee (FFDC) website. This event is for active ALPA members/pilots only. "
Funny they specify "active". Wouldn't want to open it up to furloughed ("inactive") ALPA pilots or anything, lol.

I would, if you're serious and not just complaining, e-mail Paul Ryder and inquire to him about what that statement means. ALPA has extensive Furlough Support resources as well and I have to imagine they would welcome furloughed pilots to any of the open houses being put on by the FFD team.

Last recurrent I did, in February, the chief pilot briefing talked about application numbers and didn't seem too concerned (in the 2,000 range if I recall). Does anyone have the most recent copy of the presentation? I know they make it available if people ask for it.
Gone are the days of 6000+ competitive resumes on file (circa 2011), I wonder just how deep the realization has penetrated.

I spoke to a CP helper 3 weeks ago and although attrition numbers are lower than expected, he said B6 is aware of the recruiting problem they face. Its probably the ONLY reason that they have continued to work on this.
Staffing is really the only leverage we have.

Im ****ed, in general, with B6s 2-faced behavior. Obviously, I dont want the company to be fatally injured, but if mngment were forced to squirm a bit, Id sleep soundly.
