If you live in NY, and need to fly somewhere, why would you ever choose Jetblue over Delta? Right now, we offer a more comfortable experience than they do for most travelers. If that changes watch our revenue slowly dwindle as word gets out that we are among the least comfortable airlines, as well as late, and with no route map.

Watch.
Yes, I agree, that's the point I was making. Our onboard experience is either on par, or only slightly better (because everyone else has caught up to us and we appear to be unsure how to push the onboard experience envelope further to ensure we continue to stand out). While AA may not be everyone's favorite, they have size and network and can turn decent profits (see their Q2 financial results thread on the other forum) with a regular product. And that may not last long because if you look at the new cabin they've announced, we may find ourselves further behind the ball. We have to be doing it better and smarter than the other guys. But, you know, I'm sure flying out of Long Island is just going to print money.

If not there, certainly Manchester will do the trick.

Having lived in both Manhattan as well as Eastern Long Island, I will tell you there will be a LOT of people that want to fly out of Islip rather than deal with traffic and parking and huge airport crowds with LGA/JFK.

I've always thought there has to be some reason that JB has negleted ISP for as long as it has. Barely mentioned...Not even used as an Alternate. Southwest had a somewhat large presense there until the last few years, and now Frontier has a fair sized operation.

But as you said, there are tons of people on Long Island who would much rather fly out of ISP and would pay a premium to do so, and those same people aren't interested in flying on Frontier. My hope is that it becomes something like HPN where we're opering multiple flights a day to numerous cities, overnight 4-5 planes a night there etc....Guess we'll see where it goes.

Lets hope all those people who want to "fly out of Islip" are going to FLL or Puerto Rico. Because that's the only direction we're going with JetBlue 2024.

FLL or PR is the only direction we're going? C'mon, that's BS. We fly to the DR too!

Ouch. That was a death blow to American with their business travelers. I guess JetBlue is about to see the same result.

As soon as Islip puts in an international terminal with US Customs... yes. JetBlue will offer 5 flights a day to the Dominican Republic.

I understand your point, but we aren't targeting business customers per Mgmt.
