Incorrect. It can be found in CBA 5.L. To much to type.

I just saw this email: This does not bode well for some. Some guys may never be able to get back into the school house once removed.

JBU Instructor Pilots,

In the next few days, we will be soliciting for volunteers to return to the line. Those who volunteer and hold a line position in the same aircraft type will be able to convert to Adjunct status if desired. We will be considering approximately 52 volunteers. If we are unable to solicit enough volunteers, we are likely to need to move to non-volunteering Instructor Pilots in reverse seniority order.

this is expected…not going to need 190 instructors pretty soon.

Unfortunately this will affect more than 190 instructors. Especially when looking at the bottom of the seniority list up. Senior 190 instructors will convert to another aircraft type while 220 and 320 instructors hired in the last 3 years will be sent to the line. And with no 220 base in MCO I wonder if they chose A320MCO on this supp bid in order to avoid commuting if they will ever be able to get back to the school house when they need instructors again.

JetBlue and British airways plan a pretty sizable codeshare.

Are these the first steps towards joining one world?

For the ignorant and un-initiated, what would joining OneWorld get JetBlue? What's the advantage?

BOS/NYC are important cities for oneworld broadly speaking. AA has typically been the oneworld partner to offer US domestic connections there, but in recent years they have shifted away from BOS/NYC and focused on their PHL/CLT/MIA/DFW/PHX hubs. We saw this play out with Alaska on the west coast agreement:

https://news.aa.com/news/news-detail...elers-NET-ALP/

And AA attempted a similar, albeit more ambitious, agreement with the NEA and JB. We all know the NEA was shot down, but I suspect this BA codeshare is the start of a copycat agreement like AS has out west. We can't codeshare with AA or AS since our CBA prohibits it, so BA is the best option at the moment.

Jetblue joining oneworld means a massive bank of frequent fliers will now buy tickets on our metal so they can earn/burn frequent flier points. It also gives the TrueBlue loyalty program a huge bump in value, offering more options to earn/burn points on AA, BA, or any oneworld carrier.

Also following the theme of AA focusing elsewhere, we could see a new gate/slot lease deal where we pick up NYC/BOS/DCA real estate from AA and grow those regions even more.
