$38 for each espresso. Yow.

Not good.

On a side note this poster seems very plugged in and very much opposed to anything "premium" being done by the company. If it's not Baldanza I don't know who else it could be.
Baldanza has openly praised Joanna as an "incredible leader" and "brilliant" on his podcasts, so I cannot fathom it would be him.

Also referenced themselves as having been around JetBlue “from new air” days so way way back. I’m not sure I believe them yet. These people are public figures. Anyone we know who is Canadian, former pilot, and involved in management at JB from the start?

I’m thinking someone involved in the financing side (as he clued in to). Maybe a recently retired analyst? Either way, it really doesn’t matter who he/she is. The insight into the behind the scenes stuff is very interesting. And yes, troubling to see things are as bad as we all guessed they were.

On the bright side, there’s a lot that can be fixed right? It’s not like we’re trying everything and it just isn’t making money. It’s nice to find fire where there is smoke.

Yes, we’ve been profitable in the past despite all of the management issues.

Thats what I was thinking also. Fixing all this ineptitude...we may actually be alright.

The problem is that the only things I'm hearing from the "grown ups" is that we need to give up on having a better product. No one seems to be valuing what we offer or talking about how we can drive awareness and induce demand. If this person is to be believed Robin was let go because he refused to compromise on seat pitch. How will we survive if we offer nothing but the same crappy experience as AA or UAL but with less reliable flights and a crummy network?

We have something they'll never have. 60 flights daily to the Dominican Republic.

If the poster had a more honest assessment of Spirit's current financial and operational condition, I'd take it bit more seriously. He condescendingly dismisses any critique of the Spirit brand and business model, guarantees not a single pilot will quit due to ACY closing, called Spirit's balance sheet "A-OK" (really?), called the airline an operational on-time machine, etc.

The individual is clearly upset with B6 and whatever transpired behind closed doors, but this is corporate mud-slinging and none of us know what was really discussed.

The merger was doomed from the get-go with Robin & Friends spoiling the Spirit/Frontier party, so not surprised there's some people unhappy with us.

With that said, it was time for Robin to go, but I'm not optimistic our current leadership will right the ship in time.
