Bingo, now we are limited to "organic growth" while retiring the 190s, parking the 220s and 321 NEOs with engine issues. I didn't know what to think about merger not going though. I kinda got onboard with the, "oh were better off" crew but looking at it objectively that's just a lot of cope. The merger, while expensive would have been immesuably beneficial long term.

Thanks Delta.
Organic growth isn't bad, but unless there is a secret contingent Airbus order already signed, we are WAY behind the power curve on aircraft orders. Our current order doesn't have that many years left on it, the delivery backlog for new orders is only getting longer, and maybe worst of all, the aircraft are only getting more and more expensive. The UAL CEO just said the Boeing 787-9 door blowing off on Alaska might be the straw that broke the camels back, and may focus on getting its new jets from Airbus now. Demand and price for Airbus just keeps going up.

I really hope JB has a secret contingent Airbus order inked in case the merger isn't approved or organic growth is gonna be ugly. And my guess is, they don't. Hope I'm wrong.

United dropped their whole Max-10 order so naturally I would assume they are targeting 321 NEOs.

NO THANK YOU!

If this website allowed swearing, I would gladly do so.

You're right I miss spoke. They removed them from their internal fleet plans.

I didn’t say it was what I wanted. Just that there me be discounted orders for grabs. I also agree with your sentiment completely.

Growth is growth. So what if B6 gets a hundred 737s or a hundred A220s, it doesn't mean you need to bid them, but that is another thousand pilots on the list under you.

At least we're growing, which is good for all of us. This "shrink to profitability" route Jojo seems to be going with is not a path any of us want to be on...
