JB’s pre-union PEAs and comp packages were never that far out of line with industry standard. As soon as that changed, we voted in ALPA and got it back in line with our (non-ULCC) peer group.

So let’s chill with the whole “500 guys went on strike in the 2000s” nonsense, and keep things in perspective here. Spirit pilots haven’t exactly held the line on industry standard compensation in over a decade.
Lets not forget, they finally got released to strike, their moment to shine, they have all the leverage, and then they agreed to a sub par contract.

Im not saying our group would do something else. God knows we have a serious boot licker problem here, but to hold up that strike as evidence of something is kind of silly.

All I’m hearing is a bunch of blue shirts thumping their chest about being the tallest midget in the room.

I dunno, I can’t hear it over the talk of TPA pay parity, drop to zero and relative seniority.

WTH! Where is this judge with the judgment already. It’s not like he hasn’t made his decision. Just put it in print and let the masses read it.

I think he keeps hoping that DOJ will blink and it will be a negotiated settlement. Because a legal precedent either way would have somebody screaming at him.

Let’s just get a verdict and get on with our lives. Hope it’s tomorrow.

My theory; Announcement after stock market closes today, before the holiday weekend. Least impact on stock price for both companies.

The American public news cycle time is very short lived, if they announce end of today, by Tuesday morning, when stock market opens again; it will be old news, most of the public and business trading world will have forgetten about it or absorbed it, so there will be less "emotional" response on Tuesday. Same goes for DOJ and DOT news reaction; the government office's are all basically closed this afternoon before a holiday weekend, by Tuesday morning; old news.

Just a theory
