I’m not convinced B6 wants to completely walk away, they just might want to walk away from the original price tag. One could argue after 2 years of market conditions changing, it’s fair to say the purchase price should be different.

No, and that’s a very valid counter argument, but the reality is, they might legally be allowed to walk away. So why would you pay more for what it’s worth, they’ve already invested a lot in Spirit shareholders, time to walk away if it’s not a good deal.

Their offer was outbidding Frontier/Frankie stopping that merger. So looking back, they had to offer more to win. So now, they back out and pay Spirit 70million.
