With Spirit stock climbing yesterday and JetBlue stock going down the share holders want this to pass. Same thing happened during the first offer and when Spirit BOD said no the reverse happened. It’s typical business

Anyone who has spent a lot of time in the back of JB, DL, UAL, and then traveled in the back of a ULCC KNOWS that the customer base is very different. And you know it as well.

JB wants Spirit because it wants the planes, base, gates and pilots to create a larger JB. They want to gain scale quickly, to compete for more of the demographic that prefers, or would prefer more JB. That is 90% of why JB wants NK.

You can fantasize all you want about the other 10% if it makes you feel more important.
How's the weather up there on your pedestal? Tough to see you from all the way down here on ULCC ground level.

Sorry to break it to ya bub, but we're hauling the same "people" on many competing markets. I've been on JB to several locations out of FLL from T3. It's the same "class" of people as NK.

I've always heard the blue koolaid is spiked with something over there, but seeing it firsthand the last few months on these forums has been a bit eye-opening. To those that think your **** don't stink...get over yourselves.

I may be totally off base here in my comprehension of Bluedriver’s post, however I’d wager the context of “class” & “people” here is more in relation to “willingness &/ability to spend more” if you will. I don’t believe it was necessarily a correlation to one’s actual character or status in life. Now those things may not be mutually exclusive to the other stereotypical references hence why one might “feel some type of way”. Just an observation that’s worth what you paid for it. Carry on.

someone’s mad…. Who cares who you fly for but I will say spirit has another class of passengers just based on the news articles. At least jetblues flights involve celebrities haha

Just because it’s hard to hear, doesn’t make it wrong. You can still enjoy working there.

I think you nailed it. Plus we have a lye flat business class that spirit doesn't. We have passengers spending more then 1500 dollars for one ticket on JB flights. Yes we also carry plenty of "spirit" class passengers as well, like it or not we have a more diverse product offering. It doesn't make us better it just makes us different and not very competitive with the ULCCs even when we fly the same routes.

Gosh….get over yourself. No one at JetBlue is trying to portray themselves on some kind of pedestal.
