If we are getting all technical, a letter of agreement is actually a contract, just one that is smaller in scope than a collective bargaining agreement and achieved outside of section 6. It is as much of a legally binding contract as a CBA. Semantics.

And last I checked, sun country is currently $260.91 an hour top rate, and jetblue is $274.85 now and goes to $283.11 May 1st. Sun country surpasses that rate in what, 2025? So, I don’t see how B6 has lower rates. I’d be shocked if B6 is still at $283 in 2025, especially if a JCBA is involved.

No. That’s a “bump and flush”. A standard ALPA merger protocol agreement will be constructed and its standard to not have a “bump and flush” of anyone from their seats.
