How so? Did it come into play with AS/VX? I’d assumed they both had the same career expectations and the arbitrator didn’t put any weight into that section.
Also does anyone have a link to the final AS/VX arbitrator ruling? Would be some interesting reading for dorks like me

VX proposed 15% longevity, 85% status category.
AS proposed 70% longevity, 30% status category, with some re-ratio of FOs on the back end of the seniority list to favor AS FOs more.
"The Board concludes that longevity should be the single largest consideration in driving the method for merging the lists."
The final arbitrated result was a harmony model, straight 60% longevity and 40% status category.
It did set a precedent (IMHO). It was the largest award towards longevity of any recent arbitrated SLIs. Personally, I think you're going to see similar sorts of results for narrowbody only airline SLIs. Sort of a 50-50 split for longevity/status category, and +/- 10% either side.

The historical context was career expectations meant widebodies vs narrowbodies. Since AS/VX had none, the arbitrators said "the two primary components of a pilot’s career expectations are job security and job opportunities, most importantly upgrades."

I just realized, Spirit pilots already wear blue pants and ties. So the blue shirts should come natural.
