That's only because of the low cost competition. Take out the low cost competition and there is good reason to stay big. MCO is a huge travel destination. There is a reason that it's the largest market for Hertz.

The reason why ULCC airlines are successful in MCO/LAS and cheap Florida vacations is because there is a lot of demand on those routes for cheap tickets. But there is also a lot of demand for low/moderate prices tickets, which is why SWA is the largest in MCO and why all the full fare airlines still operate a ton of flights. JB can and will (when it wants) continue to eat into the market share of those low/moderate priced travelers when it has the surplus of resources to go after them. That just hasn't happened yet as other opportunities or threats have always been metered at JB faster than the resources have been metered into JB.

hey you should thank us. Apparently y’all are going to be the huge super ulcc. I bet while JetBlue tries to digest spirit you guys will grow and push us right out of mco.
