Or two, F9 can't get close and are like you said negotiating a deal where NK saves face and they get something from the deal.

I absolutely do not think 33 being the first offer JB made for us was their best and final. Never show your hand. Even if F9 were to counter..I think JB has a bit more to offer. I don't think they let this go.

I'm really hoping your management comes correct so I don't have to if even temporarily work for F9.
Agree, JB has played this game before when it was AS-VX-JB and lost the war. They are more prepared this time and ultimately I think NK is more valuable to JB than it is to F9.

Was expected. But it would be cool if they dismantled the NEA altogether, or restricted it to a simple codeshare or something. Would be quite ironic if the byproduct of the DOJ’s ruling did more for scope protection than the joke of a union that is B6ALPO.

I would love it. But it’ll drag out long enough for me NK acquisition to happen.

DOJ has no choice but to set a court date. What are the odds it is settled before hand?

Under what grounds would it get dismantled all together? So just let the big boys continue to hoard all the slots in NYC? Seems like other airlines, especially Delta, have increased their presence in response to the NEA, not retreated.

these grounds.

I doubt DOJ will win. But I hope they do. Especially if the NK deal goes through.

This seems more a concern about AA INCREASING its monopoly rather than any problem with B6 per se. DOJ trying to peel off B6 from AA (largest airline in the country) doesn’t really suggest they would be all that upset about B6 growing through merger with NK.

agree. I don’t think the NK deal will have much issue getting past a DOJ lawsuit (but which I fully expect to be filed if the B6 deal goes through). Also, the DOJ striking the NEA down will be a free out for B6. As it is now, B6 is on the hook for hundreds of millions in exit fees if they leave before the NEA term is up.
