Fair enough. Our crystal balls see different things.
Regarding the slots, we are using 24.
8 to JFK of which 2 are flown by LGB
5 to OAK of which 2 are flown by LGB
3 to LAS of which 1 is flown by LGB
1 to FLL of which 0 is flown by LGB
1 to SLC of which 0 is flown by LGB
4 to IAD of which 2 are flown by LGB
2 to BOS of which 2 are flown by LGB - (BOS base=zero?)
Total slots of 24 of which 9 are flown by LGB - 80% of which are 2-day trips.
We only fly 37% of LGB's limited flying and maybe 1% of any remaining system flying.
BUR and ONT are 7 total flown by JFK and FLL.

What blows me away is the number of pilots and even managers who honestly believe that slot limitations are what have kept the LGB base small, and that if we could get more slots then we would get a bigger base.
The size of this base and the others will remain a mystery and it seems pointless to me to waste any more time at pilot meetings trying to get a straight answer because I've received four or five at this writing, all of which were complete BS.
In two cases, the person giving the answer knew that his answer was BS, or at the very least purposefully meaningless.
I just hope that low turn out and the lack of nodding heads at those meetings is not mistaken for happy elves. In most cases, it's apathy.
