Default JetBlue's delivery schedule

Does anyone have a copy of JetBlue's aircraft delivery schedule over the next several years? Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge...

2005: A320 - 84, E190 - 8
2006: A320 - 101, E190 - 25
2007: A320 - 118, E190 - 43
2008: A320 - 135, E190 - 61
2009: A320 - 153, E190 - 79
2010: A320 - 171, E190 - 97
2011: A320 - 183, E190 - 101

No firm orders past 2011...

Default # of pilot jobs..

I imagine that will translate to lots of pilot jobs. Forgive the ignorance - i'm not sure how airlines do their scheduling / # of pilots per aircraft , etc...If someone could put some ball park numbers up i'd appreciate it...

Thanks for the great information. I think most airlines shoot for about 5-6 pilots per seat.

This does not include the options for more A320s and 100 E190s. There is the potential to have over 400 aircraft on property by the end of 2011.

They shoot for about 13 pilots per aircraft, give or take. There are about 100 planes on firm order in each fleet. So that's at least 2500 more pilots in the next six years or so.

That's pretty amazing, but keep cool. A lot of things can happen between now and then. Who could have predicted the state of the industry now in 1999?

One thing I have noticed about JetBlue is that they have a PLAN that they are executing and sticking to pretty much. I would imagine that unless something really drastic happened, they could be expected to hold to thier plan. It seems to me that the LCCs are banking on the failure of at least one major based on the kind of growth I see them pushing. Any other opinions?

IronWalt,

...In business you have to count on a certain amount of failure from your competition to make it...I know that sounds callous. However, no animosity- its just healthy competition...I don't believe people at the LCCs want other americans to be out of work or see an american company go under...But in order for them to continue their growth they are going to need room...just a natural part of business...

your thoughts / comments are always welcomed...

2K+ pilots for JB...I won't be ready to retire by then...I'm going to be in the AF for eight more years before I qualify for retirement...
