Default FLL/MCO Seniority

Can anyone share the time to hold a Florida base as a line holder? Tried searching but there isn't any updated info.

Don't bother. The trips are so bad now you're better off elsewhere. There's going to be more movement so any predictions are useless.

MCO 190 went fairly junior on the last bid... MCO A320 at least 4+ yrs to hold...

FLL you can get in about 1.5 yrs.

This is just to Hold the base, not sure abour lineholder.

The trips are bad, so you shouldn't work here?

Junior trips are bad in every base, in every category, at every airline.

If you live in base, who cares what the trips look like.

And to answer the question, junior MCO went under a year, and junior FLL seems to sit around a year, maybe a little more.

No, I mean that I'm a 17 year guy, and the trips are the worst I've seen since base inception 10 years ago. Not just kinda bad for junior pilots. Therefore, don't expect a QOL improvement holding a line in a Florida base. Sorry for being unclear.

Everyone wants something different out of their pairings. Even when I've been bidding in the top few percent in a position, I want half commutable three days that start early every day, and end early every day. There's nothing better than being done at 0900 on the last day of a three day.

Other people want commutability. Some people want specific overnights. Some people want productivity at any cost. Local guys might want day trips. Local guys might be sick of their spouse and want six day trips.

I've been through three airlines now, and maybe 6 iterations of instructions into the pairing optimizer, and if I've learned one thing it's that the only constant in pairings is that they'll change over time.

My buddy in his first month in MCO/190 held a line cause RSV tends to go senior. Overall seems happy about it and not commuting to the Northeast.
