How are newhires assigned aircraft/base....?

Seniority, do you pick from a list of base needing staffing or just select aircraft type and hope for the best? I'm guessing the last guy just gets leftovers....?

Seniority based on DOB. Each pilot bids what they want and awarded in seniority order. You will have a pretty good idea of the plane and possibly the base at the meet and greet the afternoon before day 1. They will tell you what is available at that meeting and it depends on what the class bids but yes, last guy gets a choice of whatever is left.

Pay is the same year 1, so the 190 makes a lot of sense for year one.

Is the 190 only at specific bases? Same with Airbus, or are most places dual bases?

Thanks

It stays East of the Rockies to JFK/Bos/Mco/FLL & SJU. Does fly a bit in the Carib.

It stays east of east of the Rockies. Mostly VERY east of east of the Rockies.

I've done many 4 leg days that never left the *STATE* of NY on the E190.

East of the Appalachians most of the time is more like it...

Is it typical to do 4 legs a day? Coming from a regional that would be no problem for me. Just curious
