Returning from a leave of absence (usually MIL or medical). Pretty normal occurrence. If they’ve been out long enough apparently they make them do Indoc again and sometimes get roped into the class picture.

It's funny how many people place the legacies on a pedestal. At the end of the day, every airline has good/bad. FedEx was THE place to be 5 years ago. Now look at it. The fact is that none of us have a crystal ball.
Without some overriding reason to give up seniority to go to another carrier, it often just doesn't make sense. Go somewhere that you can stand to work, and stay there through thick and thin. Hopping around only sucks away years of longevity that you might need to weather an economic downturn someday.
B6 isn't a bad place to be. You can make a good living here. It sure beats any regional hands-down. And the pilot group is excellent. You could not pay me enough to fly next to the miserable AA crowd. Holy crap they are mad at life. That sort of BS just doesn't exist here, for the most part. (I know there are a few winners out there.) That fact is something that people just don't place enough value in, until you go somewhere like UAL or AA and it slaps you in the face, while sitting on airport reserve.
That and $5 will buy you a slice of pizza though. We all have to look in the mirror, and be happy with our life choices.
