Class Drops

Thanks for the info guys. I remember I watch a town hall where RH joined in. He mentioned wanting to connect MCO and FLL to Europe. Anyone else heard talks of this?
Curious to see how this play this out if the XLRs are delayed

Cargo is non-existent on the XLR and a lot of those south routes are reliant on cargo, so might not be until if/when we get WBs.

A-220 jfk
Hello everybody,
Hope all of you are well; new to this and probably on the wrong thread but I cannot add a new one as of right now. I was curious if anybody had info regarding the A-220 at JFK. What routes are they using the 220 from JFK, and/or what can be expected? Would BOS would have been a better option if I had to choose between JFK and BOS?
Thanks everyone!

That’s what they’re “planning” to do. I highly doubt it’ll go like that…..but for the sake of discussion a junior A220/JFK pilot would probably operate a 4 day consisting of a IAH/AUS/MSY turn on day 1, with a RNO/SJC roundtrip on days 2-4 which includes a redeye at the end. Just a hunch of course.

Well, this would be awesome... not necessarily for bidding SQ but for making our way to Europe on company metal! Be curious if RH did mention this, what timeframe that occurred. I'm kinda new, so haven't heard that rumor... but then again, I have to plead guilty for not reading JB news daily!

Yeah it was specifically said in the “FLL250” plan that they announced a while ago. Search that term on hellojb and you’ll see it. It was prior to the latest xlr possible range issues and also could be read as political PR, showing how many jobs we’d create in the area.

Sofloflyer sort of answered their own question with the XLR’s being delayed…….as we do not currently possess equipment with range to accomplish the route.
I think once the XLRS come on property (more of an Airbus issue not company...could be a while) they be foolish not to explore Florida Europe routes........thats not to say they will. They may put all their eggs in the New York basket.....like they always do.

Yes the statement was made as part of the FLL250. I mean do you really see that happening? The trend is for JetBlue to promise to divest mutually owned assets post merger to help assuage the DOJ. So why would FLL250 be any different? I’d say it’s about as likely as LAX-Hawaii, which is just around the corner right?……..well you might find some people that are bullish on that, but I’m not one of them and I Dont think I’m in the minority.

good news is it’s preforming well. Bad news is they need more planes and the backlog is quite long. Iceland air just placed orders and they aren’t getting them until 2029.
