Im interviewing in the next month and had some questions.
1. is SQ going junior?
2. it seems like 1/2 of every class is BOS 190. I currently fly the 175 for a regional and am wondering if the 190 would be the best for me being I'm going to be commuting to the NE from FL.
3. If the plan is to toss the 190 ASAP, wouldn't they stop training so many people on the 190? If they are getting rid of JFK that means only BOS would be left for the 190? Im just curious as to why so many people are trained on an aircraft they plan on axing in the next 12 months.
Thanks guys and gals!

2. As the fleet shrinks, trip variety will diminish. Fewer commutable trips, etc. At this time the only fleet with FL bases is the A320.
3. It isn't going away completely until 2026. As people bid off, they need to train new people. I don't know if/when people will get locked onto the fleet to reduce the training needs. But if I were on it, I would be worried about getting locked on it!

1. It's a mixed bag. There are new hires in that base though. Maybe it will start going more senior as the trip variety increases?

I suspect people are bailing from the 190 as they get more seniority and seat locks expire. And for anyone with an EMB-170-190 family type from their regional it isn’t much of a training challenge. They’ll likely churn a lot of newbies through the 190 - at least on the FO side - before it finally goes away.

50% mark for BOS 190 CA is 5/15 DOH. And for BOS 320 CA it is 11/05. 😳

Airbus delays are killing us right now on both fleets.
We have only taken two 220’s this year(also one on Dec 28th)
The next one just took its first flight today. Usually takes about two weeks from first flight to delivery.

Delivery to VQQ and now MLB which is a three week process. The times I’ve been down there to send one back to Boston there’s always some issue. So usually a five week process to be out flying the line.
