planes aren’t going to be completely gone until 2026. That means they will have to continue to replace everyone transferring to the bus for at least another two years.

Unless they decided to go the training bypass route and start paying all the 190 pilots airbus rates.

Makes sense. Didn’t realize they were planning 3 more years.

50 190 slots in the last 4 classes!

Current plan is the last 190 will be gone in May 2025. 12 owned ones are parked in the desert as of now with 9 more this year (last I saw). Lease return schedule goes through 2026, but they are parking the last 8 of the leased ones (before they are due) in May of 2025 because they don’t want to deal with a small fleet and will just eat the last lease payments. Subject to change of course. JFK 190 closing in 2024. I had heard it’d be January 2024, coinciding with 220 JFK opening at the same time, but also heard it’s going to be pushed to later in 2024 due to 220 delays. -sources for those rumors are pretty solid

That timeline makes logical sense too looking at how they did it with MCO 190. We should see the same sort of thing for JFK 190 with the vacancy bid later this year. And BOS 190 being the last to close in 2025 (Aug 2024 vacancy bid).
