That's entirely true. Recessions are normal, they normally happen as the economy pendulum swings from hotter to colder. It's actually quite rare to have a dramatic collapse, and while the US and world have several serious headwinds, the economy and consumer have held up pretty well so far.
Many on here said $100 barrel oil was gonna crush demand and "glad I'm not a legacy pilot right now" crap. Airplanes still full.
A big collapse is far from certain.

Quantitative easing helped. Their is still way too much money floating around.

Awesome thanks. Curious on how the bid works. After seeing a few of the last classes all getting the 190, do they assign those to you or can you ask for the 320 and they will award it to you at whichever open base?

Seniority in your class will be based on age, if you are the youngest in the class then you get what nobody in the class wanted. Could still be 320 though. Just based on bid behavior

They usually hand out a bidding sheet while everyone have a beer. The bidding sheet shows what's available and you make your choices. 1 or 2 days later you get the results.

Would it make you feel better to bid when only 190 BOS slots are available? 😂

The 190 staffing is definitely the weak spot right now so you will move up the list quickly and honestly, 2 yrs goes by quick. You’ll get off it before you know it. My favorite years here were on the 190. Welcome. I hope you enjoy it here.

Only a year and likely not even that. They will participate in the august bid. Will be eligible to bid a vacancy for the august 2023 window and will go to training up to 120 days before that.

That’s what my friends that are here told me. I’m not in a rush whatsoever, glad to be on the E190 and also amazing to be here at the end of the day. Thanks for the warm welcome!
