3600 out of 5000 (by years end)? I would say that’s safer than bottom of any legacy list. Not that I would turn down a job at Delta. Why would you think your seniority will be worse with Spirit acquisition? Did you see where you’d be on that list that was going around? I’m honestly curious. I was thinking thinking that maybe all the bases would spread around seniority and possibly help the stagnate situation here.

Even with recession concerns I still think someone would probably be fine at the bottom of a seniority list. Places like AA/DAL/UAL were probably a little too aggressive with the early retirement packages during Covid, not knowing if/when things would recover. They’re still trying to hire to recover from those early-outs plus normal age-65 retirements. Plus demand for air travel is still at an all time high….things can change quickly but I’m cautiously optimistic things will be fine in the end.

We are in an overheated economy. The market is expecting the fed to raise rates until we enter a recession, but hopefully short of a depression. We WILL enter a recession. Jerome Powell will make sure of it.
