Yes, give me a day or two if able and I'll send you a message. Much beer to drink, but I'll be back at MFR Monday.

Thank you to everyone that has been posting Horizon updates and information.
I have a interview with Horizon, does anyone have any updates or changes to the previous known information?
Looking forward to the chance to fly for Horizon.

Default Work Rules Questions

Sounds like Horizon is going through many of the challenges that other regionals are going through. I am sorry to hear that. Still, I have submitted an application and meet the qualifications. I am not sure if I will get a call but with 2800TT and 1000 Turbine 121, I would guess they will at least take a look. I live in Salem, OR and really want a PDX base.

For anyone currently working at Horizon a couple of questions.

What is your Reserve call out rule? (1hr, 2hr?)
How do you determine class seniority (age, soc.?)
Is PDX a reasonable expectation for initial base? If not, how long until you can bid?
What is the cost of family medical insurance (me, my wife and daughter)?

Thank you. I really appreciate any info.

- SEA/PDX are 2 hours. The rest of the smaller bases are 90 minutes.
- Age.
- Yes, but if you don't get it right away, it won't take long. A few months perhaps.
- I honestly don't know. I paid $11 out of my last check for insurance for myself. My wife has her own, so I'm the only person on mine...

Thanks Pete. That helps a lot. Living in Salem, I am about 60 minutes from the airport so sitting at home on reserve would not be bad. How long are the reserve duty days? Are they typically 6 days on, 2 days off? Is there a PDF version of your contract around somewhere?

I think reserve days are usually 14 hours. Usually between 3 and 5 day stretches. 6 happens, but is less common. Reserve is 13 days off in a 35 day bid period.

Anyone know what the call out time for IOE reserve is in PDX? The training packet just says to be 'contactable,' and crew sched just says to read the packet...lol

I pay about $200 a month for insurance for myself and 3 kids.
