Latest I've heard since my last line trip; a few points covered by Laser, Pete, and Caution:
Hiring. Hiring. Hiring. I haven't seen a Training Plan for 2015, but the 250 training cycles figures that Pete stated is probably right, with new hires in the neighborhood of 150 and eighty to ninety upgrades, give or take a few. New hires are doing initial sim in YYZ.
Approval for QX to use AS RNP approaches in SE Alaska has been grated by the Feds; when Q400s end up in JNU, KTN, etc. remains to be heard.
Mental math here, so don't kick me if I'm off by a number or two, but nearly equal parts QX captains and FOs have been hired at Alaska. The magic seems to be meet and greets with AS CP and HR, whether that be at trade shows or company meetings; work with the QX CP office or Flight Standards and Training, and volunteer activity outside the company.
I can not put a finger on the training plan when compared to planned attrition. Also heard that Flight Standards and Training wants FIFTY, yes, 50, check airmen on board in short order. What that means, I have no idea.

I'm guessing (hoping) they're busy. Karyn indicated to me that they had my stuff and things were just crazy right now. I live in Oregon, two internal recs, time with the company. Haven't received an interview yet. Hopefully things work out with hiring!
