Horizon hiring/interviews
#191
Comparing the training list with the seniority list I'm coming up with a Jan '05 upgrade. Still better than the '00 which was last fall. Remember also there was no hires between '08 and '11 so it will instantly drop an additional 3 years. My guess it will stabilize at 4 1/2 to 5 years if the projected growth of 5-7 more airplanes comes true.

Remember guys, the Training Plan hasn't been updated recently. Also, upgrades have been given as little as eight days notice that they have an upgrade slot and subsequent class, so things are happening at a much faster place than what is planned.

What he said.
It makes perfect sense to me. QX pilots are trained to the same standards as AS pilots, right down to the way approaches are briefed and flown. Its a fairly seamless transition for QX folks moving to AS since its really only learning a new aircraft, not an entire operational system.

I just got the TBNT email today. I applied with 1300 TT (no RATP) and all the other ATP mins met. Email said "This is not a reflection on the quality of your credentials; but rather, it reflects the extremely high level of competition for this particular job." Did I apply too early? How long do I have to wait to reapply?

Just for clarification, you don't need to have your R-ATP, but rather meet R-ATP minimums to get hired at Horizon correct? You will get your R-ATP on completion of your check-ride, just like you would ATP on completion of checkride if you met ATP mins.

Thanks for the quick replies. Yeah I thought I'd apply early and update my application as I got my hours, guess it doesn't work like that. Glad to hear I can reapply at 1500.
