Piedmont Interview
I read on airlineinterviews.com that Piedmont may be adding a sim ride to their interview process in the near future. The guy that posted supposedly spoke to a check airman who told him about the change. Anyone have any information on this? What type of sim? What will you have to do in the sim? I'm interviewing on the 30th of January and I want to be prepared.
Thanks

The sim will be in the Dash 8. It is setup as a 100 model. You will receive a briefing prior to entering the sim and an instructor will set the appropriate power settings and raise/lower the landing gear for you.
The goal is to see what sort of instrument skills you have. The sim profile is a lot like other airlines. You can expect an some VOR tracking with a hold to an ILS.

Don't sweat the sim ride folks. PDT's instructors are good guys. The Dash sim is easy to fly, it's pitch sensitive, but not bad at all. They are looking for a good scan, for you to keep the blue side up, do a hold, an ILS...the basics.
Relax, and have fun! The Dash is a big 172 on steroids!
