American Eagle hiring 60 per month
#51
Hmmm. Good to know. I ask the question, because before I got my 737 type I had to certify that I had (reaching back here, so don't quote me) 2500 total hrs in order to be eligible. But that might have been because of the 79 hrs home study before the class started.

Sorry for the late post. From what I understand, the places that offer type USED to have minnimum rquirements. Since the airlines are hiring at such low hours, business has been down signifigantly for them. Course costs are a fraction of what they used to be. Either way, why pay for a type that you will get for free (meaning $$$, not a training contract) from the airlines?

I am at Comair now but got an invite to interview at Eagle. I am thinking about it because I can drive to O'Hare in about 55 minutes without commuting. What is life like for a reserve in O'Hare? How many days off do lineholders usually have? Is the CRJ out of O'Hare? Thanks for the help in advance.

Not sure what you're looking for, but we'll be hiring as many as we can get to come to class. We're cancelling upgrades and planned flying due to lack of crews right now. Looks like AA flowbacks will continue to leave at a considerable rate, and hopefully normal attrition will pick up some with hiring at UAL, NWA and USAir coming soon.
