Do me a favor and post the ruling on that lawsuit. I'm really curious to know how that turned out. Honesty. I really don't know.

You're calling me a troll? Haha! You really need to read what you typed, then go and read your posts in 9E threads. Not everyone at 9E was good enough to get to Virgin America. Take a look in the mirror.

My critique of Virgin America is not a critique of the employees. It's simply the truth about the product. The company provides a great product in an over saturated market. VX cannot command a price that covers the cost. It's that simple.

I can't see if there is an interview/hiring question there somewhere, but if I see one I'll be glad to answer.

I have a few questions that hopefully can get it back on track.

How is training? AQP? About how long?

How big is the JFK base? Any hope of getting it a few months out of training?

How long is the reserve call out? Are they flying the reserves or are they sitting?

Do you like the PBS system?

Thanks!

Training is pretty easy...mostly self paced computer modules. FTD training is very good and the sim training is done in a very relaxed way. All very easy if you study and show up prepared! Training is about the usual 6 weeks from indoc through IOE.

JFK is very small.....bottom f/o is Oct. '11 hire...no plans to grow there. New hires will get 1. LAX (cheapest crash pad I found is $300) 2. SFO ($200).

2 hour reserve call out. Did a lot of sitting last 3 months of '12....have a bid line in LAX now as a 4/12 hire....PBS is great.

They're doing a makeover with training and its going to be even better. About 6 weeks. No AQP

Small and figure you'll probably never see it

2 hour short call 12 hour long call. 12 hour gets most flying and assigned usually day before. Although they've scaled back, most reserves have been flying.

Its FLiCa and it does what it's suppose to. Reserves line bid.

Thanks!
It doesn't matter how saturated the market is as long as they fill the planes and make money doing it. They made an operating profit in the 3rd qtr, which at least means the operational side is making money for the work its doing. So, either they're filling the seats at those cheap rates (if that's what you want to call it) or the capacity that its running at is selling the seats at a price that pays for it to operate. Qtr 4 is suppose to be a net profit, so let the numbers speak for itself.

Who cares who owns the airline as long as its only US pilots flying, all offices and all operations are in the US and ran by US citizens, and the scope for any other carrier ( codeshare or alliance partner) flying the route is iron tight. That beats working for a company who lets a foreign alliance partner do the route.

So now you will only respond to things that fit your agenda? It's funny how you can discuss things over in the 9E threads that aren't about the original topic, but not here when it comes to your beloved VA.

PM me, (wo)man. You're staying in the wrong place. I'm paying $175 and the crash pad next to me is $250.
