I'll put money on it, that in a month, he'll stumble on another VX thread, and say the same thing.

Don't reason with people like Moby Dick. You'll have a better chance trying to convince Westboro Baptist Chruch people to not picket a soldiers funeral, rather than have Moby recant anything wrong he says.

Does anyone else find the online assessment to be very difficult and ridiculous? I tried doing some, then asked my wife to come see these. She and I sat down to do it and she has 3 majors! I have a bachelors. Even her brilliant mind thought they were ridiculous and difficult! You only have less than 2 minutes to do each question and if you dont answer them you get that question wrong! Theyre difficult SAT questions. REALLY! VIRGIN!?

While VX is a fun place to work, there is some serious issues in leadership. Anyone coming here needs to understand that it is very high risk, and at the moment just a possible high reward.
Pay, benefits, reserve, and retirement all need to be improved very quickly or this place will become a type rating factory for better jobs.

Just remember, as some of our most esteemed resident free-market capitalists on this forum have pointed out: despite the chest-beating and grand-standing of the most ardent union supporters, the greatest predictor of a highly compensated employee group is a highly profitable employer. If I was anywhere on the VX seniority list I would have grave concerns about the competence of my management group and longevity of my employment. If they cannot figure out how to make more money than they spend, you will never be a well-compensated pilot group. All your hard work and enthusiasm and customer service will be for nothing. All you will get is just enough pay and propaganda to inspire maximum productivity until the well runs dry, and then: lights out.
In the end we all make decisions based on what we feel is important: Some are gamblers, some are enticed by the excitement of something shiny and new, some like the idea of doing something “different” that everyone else out there just doesn’t get. Then again, some look at the numbers and say to themselves “this just doesn’t add up”. Remember Greenspan’s “irrational exuberance” comment?
In the meantime, you should not be surprised by the less than enthusiastic support of your other airline colleagues whose financial well-being your very existence is holding back by flooding the market with underpriced product (and I’m not talking about wages here, I’m talking about selling tickets at a cost less than that required to provide the lift). This hurts the bottom line of ALL airlines, not just your own.
In the end, I guess I’ll try to stay positive and just say: I truly hope that everyone who wants to work for Virgin America gets their wish.
