Shame on them.
So you won't recant the statement that RJ pilots make more than VX pilots, will you? You'll ignore the facts that were posted in this thread, and wait till the next VX thread is made to make the same uninformed accusation, right?

Why so much fear of Virgin America?

It's not like they're consistently voted as the best airline in the US, is backed by a billionaire and his buddies, and has no fear of jumping into competitive markets (EWR). Oh wait....

Virgin needs some feed into NY, LA, and SF. They also badly
needed Hawaii. They flew test flights, but went with code-share
with HAL. When they cancel those bus orders I think they
made a deal so HAL could slide into Virgin slots.

I think Shy Guy made sense when he said look the company is not turning a profit yet so it is hard to ask for a raise. I will definately jump out there and say they DON'T pay RJ wages. I mean if your going to attack them at least go for the truths. They may not make good pay for mini bus drivers but they make more than the RJ guys. If I was a 9E guy about to hit the streets I would throw in an application to one of these operations before I would go to another regional.
Can't say I would hang my hat here or stop looking for the next job because this management team has yet to prove they have found the right combination to keep them from following SkyBus but maybe they will.
We all know they face a cut throat industry and VERY strong competitors that are getting stronger by the day. They might figure it out and they might not time will tell.

I think we are about to turn the corner here in terms of actually making money. I'll believe the results when I see them but we've been told we had a net corporate profit in Q4 2012 and that unless something crazy happens, like out of control fuel prices or global thermonuclear war, that we should be profitable for full year 2013, despite a possible slight loss in Q1 2013.

Hopefully it's true. If it's not, I'll be the first one lining up to eat crow.
