Took the assesstments and got "no thank you'd"
Don't know what they are looking for, certain personality profile to match their vision i guess...I've been hired at several places after taking similar personality tests...those things are a crapshoot, the company that designs the 16-pf taylors the report to the companies specific desires in a candidate, what happens when HR departments take over pilot hiring...good luck. I dunno what my opinion on poetry vs. football, preferring to go to a party instead of reading a romance novel by myself in a closet or preferring spicey food over sweet food has to do with safely transporting 180 walmart customers to to some all inclusive in Dominica. lol...wasn't ment to be...good luck y'all

Less to do with safely transporting the passengers than how you interact with the person sitting next to you is a space smaller than most jail cells for hours on end each day. Those questions measure your level of introversion/extroversion, and clearly they have a line that they draw somewhere on that personality trait (or one of the others measured).

I'm about as easy as it gets to work with for days on end....not overly extroverted and not the guy who stares out the window for hours on end. 8 years flying 121, made countless friends and not one enemy (at least that I'm aware of) That being said, I dont mean to come on here and try to defend my persobality traits, but, I just find it obsurd to screen out a candidate based on a 16-PF screening, the same candidate could take the thing 3 times and get 3 different outcomes based on different phases of the moon, what he ate for breakfast, etc...
It's a KNOWN disclaimer by these personality test distributors that using the results from them shouldn't be solely relied upon to disqualify a candidate. Oh well, I'm not too worried about it, I have a good job as it is and am in the pool elsewhere, where I passed a personality test! Ha! Good luck to y'all trying to get on at Spirit, seems like a lot of potential there....

Just so you know, I too was rejected at another property, solely based on the assessment phase, so I feel you!

There is the second test, testing mental alertness, is it possible you could have been rejected based on that test? It seems there is a window of correct answers that gets you through to the interview. I'm not implying you aren't mentally alert, just that there is more than just the personality test that gets you to the interview. Of all those that I've heard having been rejected in this phase, they all seemed to be below this unofficial minimum.

Sorry for those who didn't get past the assessment, I wonder if there's a time limit, say 6 months before you can apply again.
You're right on the potential, I think the potential at Spirit is huge!

Since I can't get the test either, my advice is pretty worthless. I would however go to a job fair that Spirit will be at and put a dollar bill or two into Lucky Cat.
That's what I've been doing, alas it hasn't helped yet.

She did make me take the 16-pf twice, which I assumed was the red flag. Not too worrIed about it, had a damaged ego over the weekend, had a few tall cans and moved on....My sister, a Phd. Psychologist, reassured me it wasn't me, Ha. Wasn't meant to be!

In reality, I didn't really want that job, and ended up with the one I wanted. So you are right, sometimes things just end up the way they're meant to. Good luck to you!
