Hey, finding that big break is tough work!

All in jest, of course!

About a week. Maybe two.

Congrats on getting the call! Was that the first slot available?

Curious, are you still active at UPS?

Congrats! How long was it from when you submitted until you got the call?

Good on ya!
Good luck on the interview, says a lot for the naysayers that talk about Spirit being a "stepping-stone" airline when a UPS guy is going there.

I don't blame guys for using Spirit as a stepping stone or a place to hang out while they wait for FedEx, Delta, etc., but it sure sucks for people like myself or you that actually want to work at Spirit (or jetBlue) and actually stay there for personal reasons. But that is the name of the game unfortunately.

I don't either, not at all.

I'm in a little bit of a different boat though, being retired AF. QOL is more important for me than hourly pay rates. Not knocking anyone that goes elsewhere looking for higher pay, not at all. I've been accused, pretty poisonously too, of a having a "I've got mine, screw everyone else" mentality, and if I choose a great work environment, with great people to work with for a little bit less pay, then so be it.

QOL is pretty much everything right now, I want to live in a great place, wheres there's lots to do, professional sports teams (something I haven't had in nearly twenty years) and a relatively low cost of living. No income tax would be great too!

I want to work, I want to work towards and for something great, but don't need the rat race anymore. I'm hoping I can find that at a place like Spirit.
