I had a buddy who was furloughed Comair, hired at Lakes, signed a training contract, worked 4 months, made $6K, hired at Compass, left and owed Lakes $7k. What a company. Take that to a judge. He made less than what they wanted him to pay back. Good luck at Lakes.

Heard that it depends on your TT. I was told that those with a little more TT are sent to the Brasilia and the ones with a low TT are given the 1900.

Everyone knows the pay sucks, he knew what he was signing, it will suck for him every time a PRIA report goes to Lakes, esp at Delta down the road. This industry sucks, we all know it, and many people skip lakes due to pay, but come on its a 1900 not a CRJ, and its a get in get out place. Come in low time, get some IMC, Turbine, ME and get out, beats towing rags another summer and working at dominos all winter.

Well your buddy made a poor choice. He knew what he was getting into and did it anyway. Leaving after only four months is pretty unprofessional.

So who is getting out now? GL is only a “get in and get out” place only when there is movement in the industry, just like every other regional. When there is no movement, it is a get in, stay in, wait for the promised upgrade, complain about working conditions, and then move on long after you expected.

stinks to be them. the guys who took eagle/willie got lucky, in a good economy the lake guys get to fedex while the eagle guy is just making captain, its all a gamble, its all how you play it.

Quick question for those who are getting interviews with GLA, how much TT and MEL time do you guys have?

Thanks

AGREED

There's a reason why FO's are leaving before this "quick upgrade" that everyone seems to think is happening at GLA.
Do whatever you feel is right for you, and please report back your findings.

Ask yourself what pt.121 airlines currently make their newhires sign a training contract. And then ask yourself why they do it.

If the job is so bad that they need to force people to stick around, then why would you want to go there?
