Spoilers...a true voice of reason. I understand the market is flooded with applicants. Unfortunately, I do not know anybody in the American Eagle family. To be honest, I dont know one military guy flying regional jets.

I remember an article in one of the local DFW papers several years ago that AMR was offering to help the more senior pilots of AE to find another job. If I find a link to that article I'll post it.

Fellas,
I apologize if this has been addressed in a previous thread. I have applied through airlineapps.com and have not heard a peep. What seems to be the average turn time from applying to contact from HR? I often wonder if airlineapps is working properly. Hmmm...

That would be me. The gray-headed part. Maybe that is the problem.....

Try to stay patient. I know its tough these days. I'm keep telling myself that as I continue look for somewhere to go after Mesa.

You're right. But it makes one wonder when you hear those with equal or less qualifications getting the call. In April of 08 I updated airlineapps and within 10 minutes I had an email saying I needed to call to schedule an interview. I know times have changed but it would be interesting as to how they prioritize their choices of who interviews now.

They may help, but aren't always the case. If ANYTHING is incorrect or you're missing something that was asked for, then you're out. Trust me when I say internal recs will not guarantee you an interview much less a job.
Again, they have 150 or so slots and over 500 apps!

Welcome to the club. 3000TT 1500ME 700Jet Type Rating, current flying job, 135 jet experience, jet sim instructor/evaluator blah..blah...Interviewed and conditionally hired in May 08 only to get rejection letter the day after the second day of interview (would pay good money to find out why! Tell me what's broke and maybe I can fix it) Internal Recc. Clean record both professionally and personally. Not a peep either. I would bet that airlineapps.com is working just fine.

If this is the case I don't know that you were rejected. EVERYONE was rejected in May of 08'. I was one of the lucky ones who got the news before walking into my last sim session for my RJ course in Vero Beach, FL.
This was of course a day or two after oil hit $120 a barrel.
Also, did HR contact you to update your times back in January? I think like EGLF15 said, They are inundated with applications right now and it sounds like they would love to have you on board. Just gotta be patient.... Good luck!
